Vector illustration

One of my strongest skills in Digital Design is being fluent in Adobe Illustrator and comfortably producing detailed vector illustrations with easy-to-read elements to support marketing collateral and to be used within software products.

Below I am showcasing a few examples of the vector illustration I’ve produced during my tenure as a Digital Designer at TrustFlight, where I was responsible for developing the visual identity and further enhancing its presence across stakeholders and customers in the aviation world.

Introduction

Large, detailed illustrations were created to support everypitch, presentation, or block of text on the website, and they all used slightly different colour palettes according to the background they’d be placed against.

Covers, or “impact slides”, were always a dark blue gradient and all hues would be slightly darker for them to better blend in with the environment.

All graphics were created with two main subjects in mind: aviation and tech, and how well the two are tied together, using iconography to better establish the bigger picture of the content at hand, such as using shields to symbolise safety, spanners and cogs for maintenance, “text” boxes and ticks for defect task list, and so on.

Every graphic and icon were created in Adobe Illustrator from i the span of 4 years, from 2020 to the present day.

For each new operator to be onboarded at TrustFlight, the aircraft they register are drawn from scratch and added into the database for them to see in the Tech Log app’s dashboard. Customer branded aircraft variants are also created to use in demos and pitches, to create a more personalised experience and show them the company did their research and cares.

A total of 120+ aircraft have been created, variants included.
